Folk art sculpture of a standing William Henry Harrison (1773-1841), 9th President of the United States, our shortest serving President and the first of four from the Whig Party. He is presented around the age of 40 in a folky and partially accurate general's uniform.
Unsigned, the type of wood is not known, but it is very heavy. No shrinkage cracks and the weight lead me to believe this is a 1920s-1950s carving. It was found near the East Tennessee / western North Carolina border.
