Antique pair of French Louis XVI caned armchairs/fauteuils/bergeres. Chairs are hand carved and hand caned, with backs of double cane. Traditional French carved motifs of flowers at upper crown and legs and cabriole feet. Color is a soft French gray with underlying white and natural wood peeking through light distress to highlight carved details. Chairs are sturdy and in excellent condition, original cane, with a few pieces reinforced on the front seat edge of one chairs.
A beautiful pair for dining, office, fireside, boudoir... farmhouse, shabby, cottage, beach or Paris Apartment.
