This is a playful and vibrant ceramic serving dish shaped and painted to resemble a bundle of fresh asparagus. The spears are arranged side by side, with a gradient color transition from crisp white stalks to rich green tips. The bundle is “tied” with hand-painted pink ribbons at both ends, giving it a charmingly kitschy, vintage feel.
The underside of the piece shows it was hand-painted in Italy and marked “Italy” and “Pier 1,” indicating it was made for or distributed by Pier 1 Imports.
