Hand-knotted in the Konya region of Central Anatolia around 1970, this compact village rug was woven on a cotton foundation with a wool pile by local artisans working for their own homes rather than export markets. The bold central medallion and playful border motifs reflect the graphic storytelling language of Anatolian weavers. All small rugs in this collection are true village-woven pieces — never produced for commercial resale and originally created for household use.
