Beautifully shaped vase by Icelandic artist Gudmundur Einarsson (1895-1963). Unika from around 1930-40.
Einarsson pioneered ceramic production in Iceland in the 1930s and this is a rare one-of-a-kind vase = there is only this one in the world, many of his products (especially his animals, are mass produced)
Very beautiful in its ‘metallic’ glaze and stylish shape. In brownish, greenish, golden colours/shades.
It is signed with the 3 mountain peaks and Island = Iceland under the vase (Gudmundur's signature)
Height 13.5 cm
