Jug / Vase produced in the 70s by the company VEB Haldensleben (as attested by the brand stamped on the … Read more Jug / Vase produced in the 70s by the company VEB Haldensleben (as attested by the brand stamped on the base) which is part of the large production of extremely textured East German ceramics called "Fat Lava". I love the rough texture of this type of vase, in this case the earthy brown color creates a splendid contrast with the glassy orange glaze poured inside this modular pattern engraved in the stoneware. This type of vases are splendid in large numbers on a table or a sideboard. We have tried, in our photos, to suggest a combination; here for example you can find it combined with two other vintage vases from East Germany always in earth tones. The vase is in good vintage condition, it has a minimal imperfection visible in the photo. See less
