Dr. Carter was a tenured Art professor at Worcester State University, a well regarded Liberal Arts college in Massachusetts for many decades. We had the privilege of acquiring several pieces that were released by her estate and are offering them for the first time here on Chairish.

She was a seasoned world traveler, and clearly had a penchant for China and Chinese painting styles, as you can see with this selection of paintings. Her use of color is sheer perfection, and these pieces really evoke a sense of nostalgia and whimsy.

This offering is for a large scale watercolor, depicting a beautiful small garden with a pond and beautiful trees. The watercolor paper measures 27" by 21", and is mounted on foam board. See less
