These elegant dishes have a … Read more Superb pair of Imari porcelain dishes, of Japanese origin and dating from the 19th century. These elegant dishes have a slightly scalloped shape with richly hand-painted decoration in the emblematic colors of Imari: cobalt blue, orange-red and gold.

Each dish is decorated with a central medallion representing a flower vase, surrounded by stylized floral motifs and refined geometric elements. The reverse of the dishes is also decorated with hand-painted designs.

Dimensions: 31 cm (12.2 inches) in diameter

Condition: Very good general condition. One of the dishes has a small chip on the edge (see photos for details).
