This exquisite Mizusashi (水指), or water container, is a traditional Japanese ceramic artwork crafted by Noma Gazan.
Dimensions: Height 21 cm, diameter 18 cm.
The surface is finished with a gray-green and bluish glaze, featuring subtle streaks and color variations.
The crackle patterns in the glaze add extra character and a sense of timeless beauty to the piece. The base reveals the beautifully marbled clay and bears the stamp of Mano Gazan, a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship.
Noma Gazan (間野雅山) was a ceramic artist working within the Agano/Takatori tradition, also known as Natsuyoshi Yaki (夏吉焼).
