Stunning pink transferware set of 5 dishes. All dishes depict early American history scenes or scenery. Four pieces were made by Johnson Bros in England and depict the Natural Bridge in Virginia on the berry bowl, the View of Boston on the largest plate, and San Fransisco During the Gold Rush on the teacup and saucer. The Betsy Ross plate with the scalloped edge was made in the USA by Homer Laughlin. Beautiful set that would look great displayed together. Perfect for spring decor or for a pink kitchen or dining room.
The dimensions listed below are for the "View of Boston," the largest plate. The Betsy Ross plate is approximately 9.25" in diameter. The "Natural Bridge" berry bowl is approximately 5.25" in diameter. The "San Fransisco During the Gold Rush" saucer is approximately 5.5" in diameter and the matching teacup is approximately 3.75" in diameter not including the handle which adds an inch on that side.
