As the story goes, Auguste Rodin was so taken by a group of Cambodian Folk Dancers in 1906 that he drew several study pieces with washes of watercolor and crayons.
It's said, the drawing were actually meant for an idea of mechanical devices that Rodin had imagined. These drawings were later titled, Cambodian Dancers.
The smaller print of the seated dancer (7.78" x 12.2") has the M.R. logo and is numbered 4428. Print reproduced by hand according to an artisinal method known as the Jacoment process. (The "Jacomet process" is the combination of a traditional printing technique and metal stencil. The print of the seated dancer is embossed with the words PROCEDE JACOMET.)
The larger print (10.2" x 15.9") has the M.R. logo and is numbered 5077. It is inscribed with the words 'Cambodgienne pour servir de Gloire'.
Both are very nicely framed and in great condition.
