Perfect original condition, really exceptionally well preserved. Only the upholstery is new, with woven decor inspired by Gustav Klimt paintings. The wooden bases were perfectly cleaned and polished with shellac polish. The chair first appeared at the Winter Exhibition of the Imperial and Royal Austrian Museum of art and Industry in 1901, the manufacturer was J J Kohn, which merged with Thonet in 1925. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
