This Antique Persian Melayer Runner is hand-woven using wool on a cotton foundation in the Hamadan region of Iran. Measuring 3' x 12'10", it originates from Persia and dates back to the Bronze Age. Persian rug-weaving has a rich history dating back to the 16th century during the Safavid dynasty.
