Crafted in the Baktiari region of Iran, this Semi Antique Persian Baktiari Rug showcases the rich history and artistry of Persian rug-weaving. Hand-woven with wool on a cotton foundation, this rug boasts a distressed and refinished finish in the U.S. Measuring 13'10" x 14'8", it is a true testament to the timeless traditions of Persian (Iranian) culture. In fact, the craft of rug-weaving in Persia can be traced back to the Bronze Age and is exemplified by the earliest surviving rugs from the Safavid dynasty during the 16th century.
