Undated, but most … Read more Edmond Woods (American 1905-1990), "Trout Stream" Oil Painting 18x24; (Frame size is 23.5x29.5). Signed right front corner. Undated, but most likely, circa 1960's.

Stream in partial fall setting with Birtch trees, and yellow and green under growth. Perfect for a Cabin or Country home. Beautiful Maple frame with silver foil insert.

Clover's Cottage cleaned the painting and replaced the torn paper backing with a wood backing. As part of the restoration, we cut a small window so that the Artist's Card and Paper Label with title, can be seen. Added new hangers and cleaned the original maple and silver foil frame.

Born in Ogden, Utah, Edmond Woods first studied under LeConte Stewart at the University of Utah. After moving to San Diego in 1926, Woods studied under Maurice Braun and continued his studies at the Otis Art Institute and the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. He is well known for his landscape paintings. See less
