These lamps were designed in 1960 by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu), and contributed to the total design concept of the hotel. Authorized re-edition. New in box with warranty. UL listed. Available in stainless steel, dark green, dark grey, aubergine, light grey, midnight blue, pale petroleum, rusty red, yellow ochre, black or white, wet painted. The fixture emits downward directed light. The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light.

Also available in a larger sized table lamp as well as in wall lamp and floor lamp models.

Accommodates 1x 10W standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb. UL listed. All color finishes come with a 7 foot black cord except the white finish, which comes with a 7 foot white cord. On/off switch on base.

Arne Jacobsen was born and raised in Copenhagen. In 1927, he graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. After graduating, he obtained his first job at the office of the City Architect of Copenhagen launching his own office only two years later.

Arne Jacobsen is a world famous Danish modernistic architect and designer. Over the years, he ventured into various fields related to his work such as lighting, furniture, cutlery, door handles, sanitary fixtures, fabrics and wallpaper patterns. "The Egg" and "The Swan" are two famous chairs designed by Jacobsen. See less
