Hand-crafted in the Veneto region of Northeast Italy, early 20th century / possibly late 19th century, the oversized triangular solid wood case fitted with a single locking door, opening with the original key to reveal a spacious interior with single shelf providing generous storage space.

This attractive monumental scale Italian country farmhouse corner cupboard features an elegant hand painted polychrome door panel depicting a richly colored traditional Neo-classical scene with flowers, fruit and flaming urn motif, surrounded by green painted trim with parcel gilt accents and decorative gold leaves, flanked by recessed panels in antique white paint framed by green trim, overall finished in the original mellow flax yellow(ish) gold paint finish, with beautifully aged warm rustic stable chippy paint patina, quality plank boarded back, rising on bracket feet.
