An antique mixed media painting called a Silky by the artist. Portrait of an American two-mast steamer ship named the Golden Rod.
REFERENCE
Photograph of the Golden Rod, Mystic Seaport Museum. Ship designer: J.E. Mouland, Builder: J.E. Smith (Nyack, New York), 1882. Originally named the Meteor, the ship was renamed the Golden Rod (1892-1909) by the owner Archibald Watt.
