This is a beautiful piece of special edition art, considered rare by artist Marcel E. Moussalli. Colors are vibrant. This one has the number 20 on it, hand-painted and signed by M. E. Moussalli. This does have two imperfections on it, there's a blueberry missing and a leaf's tip is missing. This is definately a vintage piece and this wear is typical of age.

Moussalli came to the US in 1966 from Iraq. He became a naturalized citizen and pursued his passion for art and clay in Illinois. Only the finest jewelry stores and department stores carried his limited edition hand-made and painted art bird figurines. Moussalli was killed in a car accident in 1981 and production ceased. His work is featured in the Illinois State Museum and is exceedingly rare.

All figurines were produced in very limited quantities and only for a short period of time. They don't come to the market often and then rarely in this condition. Buy this bird with confidence. You'll have the satisfaction of knowing you own a piece of the finest America has to offer. See less
