fine quality profusely hand carved anglo indian sewing table. Interictally carved piece made from padouk.  rectangular top with carved border, single lockable drawer to the front fitted with original partitions, with a further sliding well underneath for embroidery storage.  densly carved and pierced base featuring roundels,  scrolls and on a carved acanthus leaf foot.

much of the original patina has been retained, no splits or losses.  obvious surface staining from top surface which was likely to be ink. See less
