Here is a vintage woodblock print by the artist Miron Sima (1902–1999). Made in 1953, this signed and numbered print is titled “Friday Evening at the Rabbi.” Numbered 41/50. Measures 19 1/4 by 24 1/2 by 3/4 of an inch.
Born in Proskurow, Ukraine, Sima used to say that only owing to his sensitivity to the beauty of life was he sensible to its tragic aspect as well.
