One of the plates is decorated with an apple, the other with a pear, both surrounded by finely detailed leaves.

One of the plates is signed Onaing on the reverse, a manufacturer renowned for the quality of its slip ceramics. The other plate, although unsigned, matches perfectly in style and workmanship.
