An extremely rare “Sputnik” floor lamp adjustable in height, attributed to Stilnovo and manufactured in Italy around 1950. This impressive piece is made of high quality brass in a beautiful patinated. The base consists of three black-lacquered flat metal uprights that are slightly curved and equipped with additional brass elements. The several thin arms hold nicely shaped lightbulbs that each emits a nice bright light when lit. Surrounding the core are several extra coloured sticks which adds a nice touch of modernism. It remains in good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
