This is a rare First Edition, 1941, by Scribner's with no other printings listed. It's Difficult to find an original 1941 copy - because WWII was underway. But this rare, large book is a detailed guide to Home Management, covering pretty much everything, including the kitchen sink .Chapters on kitchen organization, children's rooms, laundry, storage, sewing, carpets, housecleaning and home maintenance. Also Money Management and Household Employees, Wonderful b/w photos portray the then-serious art of keeping a Modern house, top to bottom, spic and span. The book is in very good vintage condition - free of damage and foxing. No stains, no inscription or previous owner. Just a small spot of rouge on the lower part of the first blank page.
