A striking and unusually tall pair of opposing mahogany display cabinets, measuring an impressive 8 feet in height. Though slightly different in dimension, these two were clearly made to live together. One cabinet dates to the late 19th century, the other an early 20th-century companion piece crafted to match. Their scale, presence, and rich tone make them ideal for a collected interior, lending instant architectural gravitas.
Each cabinet features an upper glazed door with three-pane configuration and a lower paneled door, stepped cornice,, and a beautiful depth of tone across the wood. Despite the age difference, the cabinets read as a unified statement piece, making them ideal for flanking a fireplace, anchoring a dining room, or creating symmetry in an entry.
The mahogany has developed a lustrous, mellow patina over time, and while there are surface irregularities, minor repairs, and evidence of past use (including one cabinet with a compressed door frame from forced entry) they read clean and polished. This pair has the rare ability to feel both formal and easy in its simple classicism making it a decorator's dream.
Ten Shelves are Included.
The left cabinet (20th c.) is 30.25" wide, 14.25" deep, and 95.5" tall. The right cabinet (19th c.) is 29" wide, 16.375" deep, and 96" tall.

Cabinets present well and retain a nice luster and even tone between them. Surface irregularities, old repairs, and areas of matte finishing are present. Keys for all locks are included. One upper door shows evidence of a prior attempt to pry the door open and one cabinet has minor veneer loss at one hinge on the lower section.
