Perfect for a boudoir, changing room, bath, or walk-in closet. This lithograph is from Jean-Pierre Cassigneul’s illustrated volume of Baudelaire's 'Les Pieces Condemnees'.
Cassigneul's incredible talent is his ability to capture beauty, mystery, intrigue, and romance. He composes images we want to be a part of, and people we want to know, or even be. His subjects include Parisian models (who could be spies), the aristocracy, and the well-to-do.
A stand-alone lithograph, Les Bijoux is one of seven full-color lithographs from the volume. The volume contains a further 23 lithographs in various monochromes, integrated into Baudelaire’s text. This copy comes from number 124 of a total of 250 copies.
This work is unsigned and unnumbered, as issued. Only the limitation page was signed by the artist (scan shown), which is also numbered
