The brass posts are molded in half and joined together as is typical of the period. The wrought iron billet bars extend back to support heavy logs, ensuring durability and practicality for long-lasting use. With their harmonious combination of materials—polished brass for ornamentation and iron for strength—these andirons reflect the balance of beauty and function characteristic of 18th-century hearth furnishings. Perfect for period interiors or collectors of antique metalwork, they stand as a testament to the skill of early metal artisans. See less
