This Italian antique table is from the early 18th century. The table has two drawers with a wonderful geometric relief design, hand forged iron pulls and turned column legs. The wood is walnut and the table is substantial. The top of the a table is very thick and has worn beautifully. Most likely, the base of the table was originally made with box stretchers and the front and back stretchers were removed at some point in time. However you use this antique table, perhaps as a console or entry table, it will be impressive.

It's rustic and substantial with a sophisticated appeal. At the base, only the side stretchers remain of what was mostly likely a construction of box stretchers which which would have included stretchers in front and on the back side of the table as well. From a aesthetic point of view, the table looks wonderful. less
