Could easily be coastal New England or the northwestern shore. Back lists artist's name, Mary Peterson Vargas and titled, "Sailor's Delight" after the oft quoted phrase, "Red sky at night, sailors' delight." Signed Vargas on front. On linen panel and finished with a black with gold edge wooden frame.

Measurements in listing are for frame. Painting canvas alone measures 12”x24”
