Her detailed studies of abstract painting techniques lead Gail Titus to develop works on canvas using acrylic paint and a carefully chosen mix of unconventional tools and techniques. The primary focus has been on surface development and exploring textures.

The geometric planes of her artworks and the texture in her movements are boldly hatched in contours of energetic brushstrokes, developing new expressive abstractions in color and texture.
