A large antique English walnut country house storage chest on a later stand, circa 1900-1910. Narrow, rectangular chest having an upholstery lined, hinged lid supported by double brass chains and brass bail handles on either side, raised on a freestanding, black painted wood base. Simple yet elegant in design with clean lines and fine walnut grain interest in warm hues displaying a desirably aged patina. A distinctive piece of solid construction and generous storage space great as a coffee table or beautiful in any room.
