A rare vintage First Edition full-color print of painting "Contes Barbares" (The Call, 1902) by Paul Gauguin. Comes from a First Limited Edition art folio published in the 1950s. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Mounted on a large board of heavy paper. Detailed. Deep rich colors.
First copy is in excellent condition - minor age wear on the board, never framed.
Overall 10.90"W x 14.45"H
Image 6.8"W x 10.20"H
Second copy has some tanning on the large board and a rip at the lower left corner of the board, as it's shown on one of the images. The rip won't show when the piece is matted and framed, or the board can be removed, never framed.
