Store Item: 1969 ROYAL DELFT APOLLO 11 COLLECTOR PLATE Porcelain Moon Lunar Lander "Rare"
Description: Extremely Rare Original Hand Painted Royal Delft Blue and White Delft Commemorative Plate of the Apollo 11 First Moon Landing dated July 20-21, 1969. The plate features the three astronauts' names Collins, Armstrong and Aldrin over part of the Earth with the English Words First Men on the Moon, normally the more common Dutch version 'De Eerste Mens op De Maan (First Human on the Moon) is easier to find. The English version is extremely rare. The plate was designed by De Bruijn and is signed on the back of the plate. The plate was featured in Rick Erickson - Royal Delft, Page 134 -Fig 11 -32
