Early 20th Century Tortoiseshell Burnt Bamboo and Rattan Cabinet. With original brass hardware and featuring a single door with tortoiseshell bamboo accents. Interior has 2 shelves. Raised on splayed bamboo legs and covered in original rattan. A classic piece for the British Colonial aesthetic.
This cabinet shows age and wear with areas of loose and sagging rattan. There are splits to the bamboo and glue residue from a likely attempted repair. Interior door with some marker and pencil marks. Still a nice piece with its original rattan and hardware. For those who appreciate the original British Colonial aesthetic it could be used as is, or could benefit from rattan replacement.
