Executed with peculiar harmony in cool greens and rosy pinks, several elements that playfully underscore modernism’s prefigurement in 15th-century mannerism are incorporated: asymmetrical composition; the oddly small heads, stylized features, and elongated limbs of the figures; and a flattened pictorial plane.
