It is elaborately carved and features striations, pigment, and meshwork. Kifwebe is the Songye term for 'Mask'. Linear incisions often decorate its face and may be pigmented. A rounded or square mouth often protrudes from the mask, while a central crest determines if it is masculine or feminine. See less
