Gold ground, wine-red scene — the Summer chapter of a design tradition that's been telling the same pastoral stories for over two hundred years.

This is toile de Jouy in the "Summer " pattern, made in the tradition established outside Paris in the workshops of Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf. The single-scene, single-color printing style became shorthand for French country elegance across Europe, and this piece carries that same instantly-recognizable language, worked in rich red on a warm gold ground.

The construction
Cotton front, paired with a coordinating striped backing in complementary reds and golds. A bias-cut roll gimp edge finishes it with a proper couturier's touch, and a discreet zipper closure keeps the whole thing tailored rather than fussy. Cover only — insert not included.
