It’s hand-painted with the raised beaded Morriage technique overlaid. The motif shows the family unit of a husband, wife and children. Having a child present is unique as most Satsuma items only show the husband and wife. The back side of the lamp has a landscape scene with a lake. The porcelain lamp sits on a wood carved base. There is a piece missing on the base but since it’s an Ebony, it only shows if you are looking for it. The square shade is a medium brown silk. JBN
