Antique French Chinoiserie Hand-Painted Beveled Mirror is a splendid example of French craftsmanship imitating Oriental style! The unusually shaped mirror frame was first covered in black enamel to create an ebonized effect, then meticulously hand-painted with Oriental scenes around the frame, all rendered in gold for contrast, with red tones for visual intrigue. The subtle contours of the frame have been followed closely by the beveling on the mirror. Ideal for a mantel, powder room or anywhere a lovely artifact of hand-craftsmanship and artistry is desired!
