William Katavolos, Ross Littell and Douglas Kelley worked together to express their brilliant philosophy of design. The chairs have excellent proportion, structure and a unified form that make these so sought after. Every dimension of the chair's design falls into the precise proportions of "The Golden Mean" or "Golden Ratio" of art and design. The chair back, sides and cross bars are all different sizes of the letter "T" that come together to form an elegant scroll shaped connection with the leather sling seat. There are no maker's marks on the chairs but, the chairs have only been in my family for over 65 years. The original purchase receipts and photo documentation are available. See less

Original frames were black. NEW Leather sling seats have been professionally replaced with water buffalo hides, which have a very interesting textured pattern, dyed black on fronts and backs. Chair leg glides are original and have two chrome rings around rubber gasket. Overall chairs are black, all six are in excellent condition, no paint chips, or gouging in frames. less
