This is a very nice silver plated dish that could be used to serve almost anything but is longer than it is wide and dishes this shape were made to serve celery or bread. This one has a pretty raised floral & swirl pattern around the sides and a slightly divided bowl.
The dish is 14 1/4 inches long by 7 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches high. The center indention is 12 inches long by 4 3/4 inches wide and about 1 inch deep. It is signed Lancaster Rose EPCA Silverplate by Poole with the number 440 below. I have not polished it and there are scratches as would be expected with the age.
