Giuseppe Tagliariol, known as Bepi Tay, was pupil of Giorgio de Chirico and a sculptor.
Tay is above all known for his activity as a ceramist, which began in the second half of the 1950s at the Cacciapuoti factory in Naples.
In 1960 he set up his own business, founding Tay in Monza, a ceramic manufacturer specializing in the production of animals, both in ceramic and porcelain.
He is to be considered the most virtuous ceramist sculptor specialized in animalistic art ever.
This bird was hand painted by the artist and in addition to all the Tay marks, it is also hand signed with an inscription ( "Con stima" - "with esteem").
It is a vintage piece, therefore it might show slight traces of use, but it can be considered as in perfect original condition and ready to become a piece in a home.
