Domenick Capobianco (American, b. 1928), Colorful Abstract Composition, Oil on Canvas Panel, depicting polychrom dots in the manner of Damien Hirst (English, born 1965), apparently unsigned, unframed. 24" H x 20" W.
Provenance: Property from the collection of the artist.
Note: Domenick Capobianco is a graduate of Washington University at St. Louis, a Rutgers Fellow (1979), and a Guggenheim Fellow (1984/85). He was an educator and mentor at Rutgers University. Capobianco?s work can be found in collections worldwide, including: The Academie des Beaux-Arts, Ljubjana, Slovenia, The Albertina Museum, Vienna, Austria, and The M.V. Nesterov Museum, Ufa, Russia. Alongside his wife, artist Elfi Schuselka (Austrian, b. 1940), he frequently exhibited with the famed 55 Mercer Gallery in New York.
