While its origin is unknown, I would guess that it is either from Italy or from the Art Deco era of the United States. A regal winged sphinx is depicted with floral details highlighted in pale blue/green. She is adorned with a crown and magnificent necklace. See less

- This item shows signs of repair at some point AND has cracks, rubbing, areas of glazing that is worn off … moreThis item shows signs of repair at some point AND has cracks, rubbing, areas of glazing that is worn off and one piece in particular that is loose though it is attached with some type of rubbery flexible material ( see image #8). The patina is beautiful. This piece is also very heavy probably weighing around 100 pounds. It was hanging on a wall when I bought it. I would recommend an expert installer if it were to be hung again. less
