This lovely etching is from Modern Master Kees van Dongen's illustrated volume of Baudelaire's 'Les Fleurs du Mal.'

A stand-alone engraving without text, one of five from the volume. This copy is part of volume no. 78 of a total of 280 impressions (nos. 31 - 80 included a suite of 2 double spread and 3 full page prints on Arches Velin Paper.

This work is unsigned and unnumbered, as issued. The set was signed by the artist on the Justification Page (scan shown), which also contains the publisher’s signature, bailiff’s stamp, and edition number.
