It is found in the original presentation box, with original paper hangtag; it is most likely that it was never worn. This is one of the crown jewels of my entire collection, and very hard to part with! The heavy rhodium plating gives the appearance of platinum, and the round cabochons of blue art glass are intended to mimic blue cats-eye chrysoberyl. The blue stones are surrounded by sweeping and swirling elements set with clear crystal baguettes. The overall design is intricate and classically Deco; both necklace and bracelet have a large center panel with hinged smaller panels to either side. The blue stones are stunning -- they are deliciously mobile, with a milky cats-eye gliding through the depths of the stones as they turn and wink in the light. The original foiled hangtag reads "Marcel Boucher Original". The presentation box is covered in textured burgundy leather and lined in peach satin; both the outer and inner portions of the lid are inscribed "Styled by Marcel Boucher". The effect created by this masterpiece is beguiling and bewitching and brilliant. Truly, a one-of-a-kind treasure. All pieces signed "Boucher".
