This solid brass tobacco leaf dish is one in a series created by Virginia Metalcrafters. Beginning in the late 1940s, the company commissioned renowned sculptor Oskar Hansen to create a "Botanical Series". Natural materials, mostly leaves, were collected, moulded, and then cast in sold brass.
Bottom features VCM "Tobacco" mark and "3-61" mold mark.
