A unique and incredible antique piece of Indian ethnic art. A rare Danpappat or just patta, which is deriving from Maharashtra State in India and was used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his followers. In ancient times, Dandapatti was referred to as 'Pattish'. It has an incredibly ornate pierced Brass Beast Face inlaid with various forms of filigree decoration.
It is 12cm (4.72") high, 25cm (9.84") wide and 8cm (3.14") deep
