Richard Mteki (B. 1947 Zimbabwe). Mr. Mteki is a Zimbabwean sculptor of some renown. He, and his brother (Boira Mteki) have established themselves as 2 of the most prominent contemporary Shona sculptors of the 20th/21st centuries. Mr. Mteki's works have been commissioned for state buildings, as gifts for foreign dignitaries, and he has had gallery exhibitions throughout the world.
This particular work was accomplished in serpentine. The work is signed and is guaranteed to be an original work by Mr. Mteki.
