Remarkably, the original manufacturer's label is still attached to the footrest (refer to picture 12), along with a label showing the purchaser in Baileys Crossroads, Virginia, and the date of purchase, April 27, 1976. As a vintage piece, this recliner isn't in perfect condition. There is a small 1/4" tear in the leatherette just below the seat in front. There is some black tape at the bottom of the back (refer to picture 9). There are also a few areas of oxidation on the chrome frame, most notably in the back of the recliner near the seat, not visible from the front of the recliner. This piece is incredibly comfortable. I tried it out after photographing it in the warm afternoon sun in February. The reclining mechanism works effortlessly by pushing on the back while seated.
